Q. Does Passport Health accept insurance?

A. Unfortunately, most travel health vaccinations or medication are not covered by
insurance.However, we at Passport Health will give you a receipt which has all the Medical
Codes needed to file with your insurance carrier.

Q. Can you tell me over the phone what I need for my foreign travel?

A. It is preferable for us to have the client come into the office to receive appropriate advice
about their vaccinations or advice on their trip. From the Nurse Travel Specialist point of
view, we do not have the patient’s health history in order to appropriately recommend the
appropriate medication or vaccination for the client. Our office visit costs $48, and this
includes a comprehensive review of health history, in addition to a customized travel
itinerary for the client.

Q. I am from Nigeria and have been living in the US for 4 years. Do I need vaccination on
return to my home country?

A. This is a common question. Many people do not realize once they leave their home
country that their immunity to their local disease will diminish within 4-6 weeks. They will
need to be vaccinated like everyone else.

Q. I am a Business Executive who will be sending some employees to India. Is it necessary
for me to advise my employees about overseas vaccinations?

A. That is an excellent question. As an employer you have a duty to care for your employees
and particularly on foreign travel (extended stay) it is necessary for the company to send the
employees to an appropriate Travel Medicine Center for their vaccinations.

Q. What is the difference between getting vaccinations from my Doctor and from Passport
Health? Are there any advantages?
